The show starts with, "The Battle Hymn Of The Republic" (it's not clear what the music of the Civil War has to do with the thirty eighth anniversary of KFI). Al Meyers (an associate of Earle C. Anthony) remembers his participation in the station's first broadcast. He describes the studio and equipment of KFI in 1922 and the radio receivers then in use.
