83944. A Little Bit Of Everything. September 11, 1928. WAAM, Newark, New Jersey. Sponsored by: The Williams Candy Company. A program recorded at The Thomas Edison Studios, Columbia Street Studio, West Orange, New Jersey. This experiment in pre-recorded radio programing may or may not have ever been broadcast. The program starts with a radio copywriter and a fellow worker trying to come up with a program idea for a candy account. They decide to do a variety show called, "A Little Bit Of Everything." The second tune is, "That Sunny, Happy Isle." Some of the music sounds recorded. Don't miss the tenor singing, "The Sweetheart Of Sigma Chi," to steel guitar and guitar accompaniment. Frustratingly, everyone on the show is identified only by their first names. A great version of, "Banjoreeno" is only one of the very talented jazz and blues solos. . 58:58. Audio condition: Excellent. Complete.
