94386. A Salute To Radio City. November 16, 1933. NBC net. Sustaining. The program originates from Boston. The Radio City Music Hall opened December 27, 1932. NBC had previously leased space at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and started broadcasting from the building on November 11, 1933. The first tune heard after the theme song is, "Heaven Only Knows." The first tune on the program (strangely, heard before the theme song) has been deleted. After the system cue, an announcer is heard saying, "May we extend greetings to the stations who have just joined this network." Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians, Tom Waring, Rosemary Lane, Babs and Her Brothers, John MacNamara (announcer). 25:11. Audio condition: Excellent. Incomplete.
