2925. Hollywood's Open House. December 11, 1947. Program #1. Syndicated. Commercials added locally. A scene from "Broadway Melody" is dramatized. The date is subject to correction. Actually all the dates given for this syndicated show are most likely incorrect. The source of the dates makes no mention of what they mean or how they were dated. One of the programs (cat. #21986) is dated January 22, 1948, despite the transcription being clearly etched on the matrix December 21, 1941. Another program (cat. #116) which is dated December 25, 1947 is marked on the transcription label (with a rubber stamp) "WWNY, November 16, 1946." The evidence, therefore, indicates initial broadcast dates 3-4 years earlier than indicated. Enric Madriguera, Harry Cool, Jim Ameche (host), Marlene Dietrich, Patricia Gilmore. 1/2 hour. Audio condition: Very good. Otherwise complete.
